The Temple Builder

Enter the world of David Best, the most celebrated artist ever to emerge from the the 18 year-old creative maelstrom that is Burning Man. Filmed over the course of five years, "The Temple Builder" chronicles Best's famed "Temples," from the first to what was quite possibly his last... 2004's "Temple of Stars," which spanned 1/4 mile and stood 110 feet tall. It is the story of creation, evolution, and of a man meeting his artistic destiny head on with the help of his amazing family, his all-volunteer crew, and the community which brings the project to ultimate completion every year just before it is set ablaze and forever moved onto the gallery of the heart and of legend.
