An Uzi at the Alamo

Alec Thames is a young writer who has written over forty books, none of which he's had the nerve to submit for publication. Plus, his whole family's nuts and he can't relate to them at all. With no hope in sight, he declares that, on his 25th birthday, it's "Good-bye cruel world." But then his world gets turned upside up and he meets and falls in love with a comely neighbor girl, who encourages him to finally submit one of his manuscripts. Six weeks before his birthday—and his date with the Grim Reaper—everything is going great...maybe too great.
