“It's brutal, it's funny and you won't forget it. Guaranteed.”—Washington Post
Writer/director Quentin Tarantino’s stellar, controversial filmmaking career began with this corrosive, hilarious gem. Tarantino’s story of a jewelry heist gone wrong balances knowing references to world cinema with Tarantino’s stylized, brilliant wordplay. The film’s smash success catapulted Tarantino to the forefront of independent filmmaking, and its talented actors (Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi) each received similar acclaim. A milestone in American filmmaking, and a powerful, thrilling film in its own right.

(Avg. 4)Reservoir Dogs is the 1992 debut film of director and writer Quentin Tarantino. It portrays what happens before and after a botched jewel heist, but not the heist itself. Reservoir Dogs stars an ensemble cast with Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Chris Penn and Lawrence Tierney. Tarantino also has a minor role, as does criminal-turned-author Eddie Bunker. It incorporates many themes and aesthetics that have become Tarantino's hallmarks: violent crime, pop culture references, memorable dialogue, profuse profanity, and a nonlinear storyline.
