The Sentinel

Following his father’s death, Mathias decides to leave Germany for medical school in Paris. Enroute to France, he is mysteriously singled out and verbally abused by a customs official aboard the train. While unpacking the next day, Mathias discovers a human shrunken head in his suitcase, but tells no one of the grisly find. Instead, he secretly studies it, analyzing samples in his medical classes. What begins as an interesting curiosity soon becomes an obsession that has Mathias firmly in its grip.
