The majority of inmates in American prisons are minorities convicted of drug offenses while their largely white counterparts escape punishment. Law professor, Cary Silberman examines the gross racial injustices perpetrated by our nation's legal institutions, and exposes the greed of the prison industrial complex which blocks any attempt towards a policy of rehabilitating drug users over imprisoning them. As infuriating as Silberman's findings are, the results are essential viewing.
