If misery makes excellent fodder for comedy, Anju's life just got very funny. Her mother-in-law, Mrs. Gupta (Shashikala) is a taskmaster who runs her family home like a military camp. Anju (Aradhana) breathes a sigh of relief when her happy-go-lucky sister Manju (Rekha) stops by for a visit and decides to put Mrs. Gupta in her place, introducing a bit of fun into the household. In the process, Anju's brother-in-law Inder (Rakesh Roshan) falls for the spunky newcomer, but he'll have to toughen up if he wants to win over this no-nonsense gal
