Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak

This popular Bollywood update of Romeo & Juliet nearly swept India’s Filmfare Awards. Veteran actors Goga Kapoor and Dalip Tahil are men nusing a decades-old hatred for one another. Their children (Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, in star-making roles) fall in love, and both are torn between their devotion to their families and their love for one another. Gorgeous cinematography and a wealth of excellent songs helped solidify this movie’s reputation as one of the great Bollywood films.
