I grew up exposed to people and films from many countries, as well as people who majored in theatre/ cinema. Though I appreciate the technical aspects, I love the universality of human stories, womens lives, and social justice issues. The last movie I saw was, THE TERRORIST (Egypt: starring Adel Ibrahi). Also "WEST BIERUT" ( Lebanon). I am curious to hear what other people think of these two films. DOR (India). I miss movies like Gulzar's "MAUSAM" or "MANTHAN (starring Girish Karnard and Smita Patil; India) I am just learning about the wonderful cinema of latin American countries. Woudl love to see more movies like (4 DAYS IN SEPTEMBER), and GRAND CENTRAL STATION ?(Brazil). Can anyone suggest some titles, and why can't we get good Chinses or Japanese movies with subtitles except for ones that make it to Hollywood?
