Synopsis


Director Shahrukh Mirza has come out with a poor love story for his venture 'Jaana'. The director has introduced his son Rehan through the film. Rajesh Khanna and Zeenath Aman have played pivotal roles.

Raju (Rehan) lives with his mother (Zeenat Aman) and sister at a hill station. He desires to make it big in life. Madhu (Anjana Sukhani) is the only daughter of a wealthy businessman (Rajiv Varma). She comes along with her father to the hill station. Madhu comes across Raju. Raju woos her and pretends to fall in love with her. Gradually he realizes that he is in love with Madhu. And the twist here is that Anjana is inflicted with a dreaded disease. However, Madhu's father finds out that his daughter can be cured. But fate has something else in store for the lovers. Anjana recuperates, while Rehan falls ill.

Performance:
Rehan does his role well. But he is raw at places. Anjana Sukhani excels in her performance. She looks gorgeous. The chemistry between Rehan and Anjan is well shown. Rajesh Khanna acting is very superb. His attire does not suit him. Ditto with Zeenat Aman, the once charming actress. The duo have made a come back through the film. Rajiv Varma is alright. Razzaq Khan hardly attempts to make us laugh. The music given by Abbas Jelani, Anand Miland, Pramod Tripathi, Guru Sharma and Rajendra Shiv is a mediocre. Story and direction are adequate. Cinematography is good in places. The other technical aspects are very good.

Kumar (Rajesh Khanna) is a kind young man who loves his step-siblings as if they were blood relations. They don't return the sentiment, however, and when debts and bad business choices ruin Kumar, they conspire to turn him out of the house. The only person who stands by him is his servant Krishna (Govindra), who is determined to help his master any way he can. Gora is a criminal whose fear is spread wide, cities, towns and even villages are not spared by his trail of crimes. He is the most dreaded man on the police list of the most wanted criminal, but so far police have not as much as been able to identify his whereabouts, least arrest him and bring him to books.

When Gora learns about the hidden treasure in Krishnapur, he could not resist the temptation and landed himself in Krishnapur. However the people of Krishnapur have guarded the secret of the treasure and are not ready to reveal its whereabouts. To acquire the knowledge of the treasure, he became friendly with the people of the village and while doing so he lost his heart to Rupa a village belle, while another pure relationship of brother and sister is formed between him and Champa another village girl.

These relationships marked a change of heart, but no bondage could prevent Gora from the treasure. He finally did find the treasure and lay hands on it, but at the same time, in an encounter with Police, loses Champa, which leaves him with a deep scar. Gora decides give up his life of crime and settle down with Rupa, but Thakur Vikram Singh, an arch rival of his locates him and during a scuffle shoots down Rupa. His beloved Rupa is thus killed which instigates Kishan, Rupa’s brother to avenge her death. He blames Gora for the heiness crime. Meanwhile Inspector Kulkarni, is also after Gora as is Vikram Singh’s gang. Will Gora now survive the onslaught? Is this the punishment for his crimes? Or is there more to his life?

STORY :

STORY :

Rajoo (Rajesh Khanna) and Sheetal (Hema Malini) are in love, and expecting some opposition from Rajoo's dad (Ajit), they marry in a simple temple ceremony. STORY :

Lalita lives with her widowed mother in a small village in India. One day while traveling by road, she is stranded, and a young man named Raja Babu comes to her assistance. STORY :

STORY :

STORY :

Yusuf lives a wealthy lifestyle with his businessman dad, Safdarjang, who is confined to a wheel-chair. When Yusuf's precocious nephew, Khalid alias Phirangi's tutor, Mrs. Albert complains about him and quits, Yusuf hires Shabana, who along with her granny, have come to live with them for a short period of time. He also hires a man named Khairudin as a servant to look after his dad. Yusuf and Shabana are attracted to each other and intend to marry, much to the joy of Safdarjang and the granny. The wedding preparations are on, but there are a couple things Yusuf and his family do not know. One is that Shabana is the daughter of a Courtesan named Najma; and that Khairudin has secured employment in order to kill Yusuf.

STORY :

STORY :

Colonel Saab is also a doctor in a psychiatric hospital in India. His particular interest is in treating patients with a acute mania, which he describes is caused by the male child's longing for the unconditional love he gets from his mother, and after he separates from her, he searches for this love in other women, until he meets the one who he feels is capable of offering the same. ...( show more ) But when that does not happen, the male child becomes cynical, full of hatred, and distrust and develops acute mania. His hospital nurse, Radha, had successfully treated one such patient by the name of Dev, and now they have another one by the name of Arun Choudhury. A reluctant Radha is asked to act as his caring mother-like nurse, to gain his trust, love him, and then make him ready to face everyday life. What Colonel Saab, Dev, and Arun do not realize what this is doing to Radha herself when she feels that she cannot act anymore and becomes more and more involved in her patients' lives, knowing fully well that she has to keep up a professional attitude, and that the patient is going to be discharged soon, and may not even remember the care, love and treatment he received from Radha. Radha has now to decide to carry on being a nurse, without being a woman, who is quite capable in falling in love with Dev, and again with Arun

STORY :

This is the story of the Gupta family. Embodied with traditional respect for elders and dignity for self, consists of Mrs. Gupta (Veena), her elder son Navendru Gupta (Balraj Sahni), Navendru's wife Madhvi (Kamini Kaushal); second son Birju Gupta (Prem Chopra); the third son, Satyan Gupta (Rajesh Khanna); one daughter Geeta (Kumud Bole), and Navendru's son, Raju (Junior Mehmood). The family gets a proposal for marriage from Alloppee Prasad (Asit ...( show more ) Sen) and his wife Bhagwanti (Leela Mishra) for Birju, which the family accepts. The bride-to-be Neelu (Bindu) has been abroad and is non-traditional with a broad and outgoing outlook, and makes this known at the very first meeting with the Gupta family. Mrs. Gupta does not appreciate this, but Navendru convinces her, and the marriage takes place. Neelu has a younger sister, the beautiful and stunning Reena (Mumtaz), who goes to the same college as Satyan, and both meet amidst misunderstandings, both comic and embrassing, and eventually both fall in love with each other. Navendru has taken a loan of a large sum of money from a money-lender, and when the time comes to pay, Navendru does not have the money, and Birju's wife refuses to share and pay the money to Navendru. Misunderstandings and quarrels take place in the household, and ultimately Neelu and Birju move out to their own place. The Gupta family lose their home to their creditors, whilst Birju and Neelu continue to live a life of luxury. Meanwhile, Satyan has given up hope on a happily married life with his sweetheart Reena. How will the family resolve these problems is best seen in the movie

STORY:

STORY :

A large mansion situated in Nairobi, East Africa resounds with the shrieks of its owner Kumar - a young man of indian origin. Night after night he is woke up by three fantastic dreams - a woeful melody of a damsel in distress - a deserted Railway station named VIRAN NAGAR and his own dead body lying on a marble platform. Kumar is positive that he has never been to India leave alone Viran Nagar and obsessed by these dreadful dreams he decides to take a trip to India and visit Viran Nagar and find out for himself the mystery-behind this supernatural phenomenon. His friend Rocky just tags along and one fateful night Kumar and Rocky arrive at Viran Nagar.
Kumar is amazed to see the railway station, it is an exact replica of his dream, or shall we say his dream was an exact replica of this railway station. The mystery thickness as he discovers that the inhabitants of Viran Nagar recognise him and are not too happy about his return - except Sapna the daughter of the local lord of the Manor.
Raja Sarkar Nath, then absent from the village. Sapna happened to be the girl Kumar's dreams and greets him with the melody that had kept him awake night after night.
What happens when you are face to face with your dreams or when some one takes you to a grave and tells you that you were buried there?

STORY :

In a small industrial town near Bombay lives Bholanath, who works at the local mill, and is the proud husband of Gauri, a daughter, Champa, and above all his son, Ramaiya, who is a graduate in the arts faculty, - the only one in this town who has attained this degree. But times are hard, and jobs are difficult to come by. When Bholanath loses his job, Ramaiya decides to ...( show more ) find employment, and does so as a menial worker in the same mill his dad used to work. Ramaiya is very popular with his co-workers and they soon elect him as their new union leader. This puts Ramaiya in conflict with the Management of the Mill, headed by the owner, Kapoor, who has ordered that Ramaiya be eliminated post haste. But Ramaiya is determined to address the workers' grievances, and he gets himself framed for theft; has the police on the lookout for him, and so Ramaiya goes into hiding. When Ramaiya does not show up for a workers' meeting, some believe that he has been bought by the mill management, and they decide to take the matters into their own hands - by burning the mill down, killing Kapoor and his family, and getting into direct confrontation with the local police, who have been issued orders to shoot-at-sight

STORY :
It was in scenic Kulu that Govind Bali had first met Lajoo, both fell in love, got married secretly in a temple and parted company. When Lajoo becomes pregnant, her step-mother sells her to a male for 500 Rupees, where she is beaten and thrown out. She goes to Govind, who is on the verge of going to America, who refuses to believe that the child is his. Lajoo writes a letter informing him that she will never see him again. Govind re-locates to Bombay where he starts his own business, and makes a sculptor of Lajoo. She writes to him from Amritsar when she gives birth to Buntu her son. She again writes to him from Delhi when he begins to walk, and yet another letter when he begins to talk. The last two letters that Govind receives inform him that Lajoo and Buntu are now in Bombay, that Lajoo is seriously ill and may not live long. Shortly thereafter Govind goes to the Police, meets with a skeptical Inspector Naik, and a few days later he is asked to identify Lajoo's lifeless body found on the beach. Then the search begins for Buntu, who is only 15 months old, no one know what he looks like, and whether he is still alive or not. How can Govind and the Police ever locate a child, in a city of millions of similar-aged children, and if at all they do, how can they positively identify him as Govind's child
