Favorite Movies:
the first film to change my life was jules et jim. before i was out, i was absolutely captivated by three characters in real life. i don't really like american movies anymore, especially at $10.50. but i rent everything in jags: italian, scandinavian, chinese, going back and forth in history to learn about people. my favorite films are set in history, or acculturate you intellectually where you never go, e.g. queen margot, solaris, an inconvenient truth, the future of food. sometimes i feel like my fa

About Me:
hortisexual film lover, who first fell in love with foreign cinema at missoula's crystal theatre in my 70's college years. i later abetted that fix with seattle film festival, and on until today, where my favorite festival is cinequest in san jose in fev-mar. that is where i found everyone so helpful, open, and equal. i can't remember a place where a film would end and people would pop out of the audience, (once one in the next seat!) to answer real questions. film is the one international art i thrive in. i probably see greater than 300 films a year, and have even ghosted an oscar vote (yes i have a closet, i'm old and it's very lived in!)
