The Times Of Harvey Milk
An interesting companion to MILK giving a more historical perspective. Now I want to re-
watch MILK.

Good movie. My complaint thought would be that if you're trying to get a point across, it's usually more effective to show people a lot of evidence and give them some guidance and then let them come to their own conclusions. Bill really rammed his opinion down his interviewee's and viewer's throats and I don't think that was the most effective approach.
I also think he should have given more time to non-
christian religions.
Anyway still enjoyed it.

A bit slow, but generally compelling. Certainly not a pick-me-
up. I was hoping for more of a picture of life in outback australia at that time - some of that was there but I was hoping for more. It focused on the lives of the characters. It did a powerful job of portraying their lives and emotions.

An amazingly-
acted character study in what a solitary life and great success can do to someone. Outside of the character study itself, the surrounding plot was not all that exciting - they could have done more with that. A bit slow at times. Overall a great movie, but not for every mood.

Great movie (and a great book). I've found different people think of Chris (Alex) in different lights - as a selfish idiot, as a romantic idealist, as a tough survivor.... Personally I respect him for his total commitment to his ideals, whether I agree with the ideals or not. Anyway, the movie is entertaining and powerful, and I guarantee it will leave you thinking about the roads you haven't taken in life and if you're living your beliefs or not.
