I don't think that there is a lot to say about myself as nothing can possibly describe what a "person" really is. Yet, I'm happy to answer questions of any kind - none are "off limits".
Am more interested in the ways in which we function in this world - given that practically every one of us is so entirely conditioned to it all - and what prevents us from functioning as totally natural beings.
In the best of cinema I see that which emerges from the chaos of ambitious commercialism, "self" exploitation and opportunism and all the violence and it's brutality and abuse and manages to convey some honest sense of what is actually going on in this world.
Hey, I also watch cinema because I don't feel like thinking, or bothering with anything else at the time - like fantasy and fiction with useless moralistic endings that say nothing. Contradiction? Perhaps, though contradictions have to learn to live together, too! lol
I love to discuss cinema though I have no pretension as to having anything fresh, original, or worthwhile to offer.
At best we might share delight and insight and leave the intellectual imagemaking process alone.
Cheers, Wado, Aloha, One Love ... take care, shane
