#1 is Moonstruck. Then Cinema Paradiso, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Outlaw Josey Wales in no particular order. Superman is the movie that opened my heart to film. God bless you Christopher Reeves.
About Me:
I love the movies. There have been times in my life where my only contact with human compassion, love, and hope has been through the movies. They have saved my life in my worst moments. 1st movie I ever saw in a movie theatre was Superman, the one with Brando. I had no idea any man could be so amazing looking. I grew up poor, feeling different, and there was a lot of stress in my home. Superman took me out of that experience, and I'll never forget all of those feelings that bloomed and expanded in my little kid heart.
I esp love docs and indie movies. I so appreciate these passionate directors who spend their last dollar and them some to deliver a message, a dream, a vision. They enrich my life and put me in touch with my humanity. I have hope for all of these people - these beautiful directors and producers.
Also, love foreign movies. Get me out of my shell, and expand my thinking. We are all human beings with the same dreams.
