I very much liked this film. I am not familiar with the Indian cinema world, other than those feature films that have made it big in the US market. So Kareena Kapoor and Rahul Bose mean nothing to me -- but I am impressed. Nor am I familiar with the director's other work. I'll have to look for it.
The film is an excellent example of what can be done with time unity and sharp plot twists, without excessive detail. Keeping all the action within the space of a single night is powerful, Aristotelian. Western filmmakers ought to try it.
The occasional flashes of Bollywood (Sweety's?) are not a distraction. I don't think I could put my aesthetics that much in reverse. The scene with Chameli singing did remind me of Gene Kelly and "Singing in the Rain!"
Thumbs up!

I liked this film. Very small scale, but it gets the job done. Character is developed quickly, plot lays out methodically, in an orderly fashion. The ending I found somewhat predictable, but nevertheless satisfying.
I seem to recognize Figueroa, perhaps from TV roles. He is powerful in the glass-
breaking scene, very low-
key otherwise. A portrayal of a man who keeps everything on the inside.
I like the notion that a film can be the cinematic counterpart of a short story. This has a whiff of Hemingway about it.

Script was contemplative, almost a meditation, and I found the film pulling me on in a very gentle way. There might have been more warning on some of the storyline jumps.
Good sense of place, exposed some BIG themes, but they didn't overpower and swamp the vehicle.
Maybe I just love the Spanish cinema scene! They are doing so much there these days. It's like France 40 years ago, Italy 30 years ago. We are lucky to be here now.
