Aditya Bhattacharya is an independent writer/director/producer based between Rome and Mumbai. He is the grandson of Bimal Roy, one of the pioneers of Indian cinema, and the son of Basu Bhattacharya, a noted independent filmmaker. Earlier Aditya has earlier been both an actor and an acclaimed photojournalist whose work has been featured in many leading Indian publications. He has recently set up DeviEnt in Mumbai, to develop projects both for himself and others. Recently called "one of Bollywood's brightest directorial stars" by Screen International Magazine, he is presently working on 'KalaGhoda' (Black Horse) a Mumbai based adaptation of Johnny To's PTU and on Bombay's Most Wanted, which will be produced by Seven Ent. Aditya is also turning producer with Anubhav Sinha's CHASE, a Bollywood Actioner shot entirely in Rome.
