A quick search on the internet will give you the answer, but if you can guess based only on the movie, hats off to you, for I certainly couldn't. I wonder if director Bill Day has deliberately structured this to keep us guessing. Should you believe this unbelievable story? Surely this is too funny to be true, you tell yourself. Many scenes look staged and unnatural, but not enough to convince you that it couldn't have really happened. Note how crowd shots and the pastors(?) speaking are never in the same frame, how any conclusive evidence that all this actually happened is held back, till the very end. Highly recommended, and do try and guess what this is before running to Google! |
