A gentle and beautiful film. Makes one reflect on love and how people's graceful gestures can touch another profoundly. The music is lyrical poetry and an essential part of the film. The soundtrack perfectly complements the deep emotion conveyed in the silences between lovers. Both Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan play their parts eloquently. They show restraint when necessary and yet manage to convey their pain with a simple look or movement.
Raincoat is not Bollywood fare. It is a moving "art" film from Riturparno Ghosh who also won critical acclaim for Chokher Bali (on Jaman). It makes you pause, think and feel. I found myself quietly and deeply moved as the credits rolled and for quite some time after.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Suspenseful and a bit different from the standard Bollywood fare. This is one of the first times the popular duo, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Kajol, appear on screen together. SRK took quite a chance in playing the villian role, and succeeded famously. He carried this film to a box office smash success. Baazigar is pure entertainment with unexpected twists and a few good songs for measure.

This film pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed it a great deal, actually much more than I ever thought I would. It's an Amitabh classic! He absolutely shines in his role. You can see why he shot to stardom as you watch him mesmerize the camera. Rekha plays the role of evil woman oh so well and Prem Chopra won a film fare award for supporing actor.
The songs are great and Amitabh's drunk scene is one of the best I have seen in any Hindi movie. Do Anjaane is both funny and moving - pure entertainment. A Bollywood classic from the 1970's and a must see film. Love to hear your thoughts. This is one of the first movies superstars Amitabh and Rekha worked on together. See any of the infamous chemistry between them?

A warm and hilarious film, Do aur Do Paanch will keep you entertained from start to finish. Superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor give sublime performances as the two thieves parading as teachers. Their comic timing is superb. What is most outstanding is the chemistry they share with each other. If Deewar showed them at their dramatic best, Do Aur Do…definitely brings out the comedic talent of these great actors.
The best song in the film is the title song – “do aur do paanch bana de” and remains popular to this day. In fact it was recently remixed and used in a film – Bluffmaster – in which Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishekh Bachchan plays a con artist!
Do Aur Do Paanch stands out as a classic Bollywood 1980's film, with the magical pairing of two of the top heroes of Bollywood.

I absolutely love this film. I can watch it over and over - for the brilliant music, the outstanding performances, the meticulous set and costumes, and Rekha's dancing. Portraying the life of a courtesan with beauty and grace, Rekha won the prestigious National award for best actress and positioned herself as a serious star. (She shines in Do Anjaane as well).
Umrao Jaan is a timeless film that crosses all cultures. You will find yourself drawn into the film, mesmerized by the visual and musical experience that has made Umrao Jaan one of the best loved films in Indian Cinema.
This is a must see. Be prepared to be swept away.
