(16 movies)More fast and furious trailers for some of the oddest, most wonderful films on Jaman. Enjoy! Full List > | | (9 movies)The best of the earliest horror films took advantage of the natural starkness of black and white film to achieve brilliant, often horrifying effects of light and shadow. Even now, horror filmmakers often shun color to embrace the spookiness intrinsic to monochrome. This list rounds up the black and white horror available on Jaman, offering a solid overview of horror through the years - though bereft of color, these movies resonate with spirit. Ideal for Halloween, or late-night viewing anytime. Full List > |

(16 movies)Yes, clicking any of these will offer up a trailer that will offer one to three minutes of bewilderment and amusement (renting and viewing any of the films in the list will yield still more). I sought a certain grindhouse quality putting this together - the trailers alone, viewed all together, should be good for nearly an hour of pure entertainment. Beware! Some make the rounds of festivals and then promptly vanish - still others are popular in their home countries but get no notice elsewhere. Jaman is pleased to spotlight movies you might have missed the first time around - your new favorite film could be just a click away! Full List > |

(18 movies)I've tried to rank these in order of preference, but it ain't easy - Straight Into Darkness is my favorite film on the site, sure, and The Third Man is a classic that deserves to be in every way, but after that it gets a bit hazy (The Anarchist Cookbook better than Murnau? Really, David?). Still, regardless of rank, I recommend each and every one of these films highly (and yes, my recommendation of The Kingdom extends beyond its first episode to the entire series - likewise, my fondness for Pusher extends to the other two films in the trilogy). If you see these, post a review or send me a note saying what you thought! Full List > | | |
