Nothing is as it seems in Rafa Cortés’ award-winning filmmaking debut, an engrossing tale of identity crisis, displacement, and mystery. German handyman Hans (co-writer Àlex Brendemühl) takes a job on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Hans attempts to adjust to his new life, but he is greeted with hostility by the local residents. Hans soon discovers that his brutish predecessor (also named Hans) mysteriously disappeared, and struggles to escape the web of anxiety that is steadily entangling him.
