Yank Tanks

It’s been nearly half a century since the U.S. embargo of Fidel Castro’s Cuba. But amazingly the vintage American cars that once rolled through the streets of this Caribbean island are still cruising along as though caught in a perpetual 1950s time warp. Using meager resources and sometimes none at all, owners of these classic automobiles continually improvise ways to keep them going. A glowing paean to perseverance and creativity and ironically independent individuals in a population numb with government dictated conformity.
