THE WAR WITHIN is the first American film to examine Islamic terrorism through the eyes of Muslim characters. Hassan, a wrongly-charged Pakistani man emerges from a wrongful prison term angry and radicalized. He arrives in New York and is invited to stay with his childhood friend Sayeed, who soon begins to see the details of the terrorist plot Hassan is plotting. THE WAR WITHIN withholds judgment on its characters, focusing on the human causes (and costs) of terrorism.
