"an amusingly circuitous, satirical path toward diffusing prejudice in Arab-immigrant-rich New Europe." -- Variety
An awkward, dorky Danish kid wants to fit in with the hip Muslim teens down the block and thinks conversion to Islam might be the key. Aksel is frustrated with his ho-hum home-life and suspects the nearby immigrant family has much more fun than his own. Seeking social acceptance he gets close to the sisters, helping with a singing contest, learning a little Arabic, and a whole lot about prejudice and culture along the way.
