In one of the more mind-bending Hollywood star vehicles of late, Tom Cruise plays David Aames, a spoiled billionaire torn between two women (Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz). After a disfiguring accident, Aames begins to question his priorities and his very grip on reality. This film is a remake of Alejandro Amenàbar’s Spanish thriller ABRE LOS OJOS (which starred Penelope Cruz in the same role), and some viewers consider this a superior update.
