A harrowing and inspiring testament to the enduring power of the human spirit. In 1959, ten years after China’s illegal invasion/annexation of Tibet, its government and head of state, the Daiai Lama, have lived in exile in Dharamsala, India. Despite denials by the Chinese of ongoing religious persecution, every year close to 4000 Tibetans brave the treacherous trek over the Himalaya Mountains to Dharamsala, seeking refuge and freedom to worship as they please.
