The Story Lady

A feisty grandmother inspires everyone around her by hosting a storytelling show on an obscure local cable access channel, and teaches her daughter and granddaughter valuable life lessons in the process. Grace McQueen (Jessica Tandy) is a retired widow who isn’t going to just sit back and watch the grass grow. She wants more from life, and after being turned down for several jobs, Grace discovers the world of public access cable television and produces her own modest family story hour. Her warmth and charisma make her a natural on TV, and her little show becomes an overnight success. Soon Grace is discovered by the networks and must choose between becoming a network creation, or being herself.
