When Ravi (Amitabh Bachchan), the eldest of seven uncouth, mountain-living brothers, marries the village beauty (Hema Malini), his brothers decide to follow suit by kidnapping local girls to make wives of them. The brides' and brothers' buffoonery turns serious when Ravi starts acting downright nasty towards one of the newcomers, the wheelchair-bound Seema. Could he be nursing a grudge, or could Ravi have gotten kidnapped by arch-villains and replaced by a secret evil twin for nefarious purposes? Before you answer, keep in mind: This is Bollywood!

Satte Pe Satta (English: Seven on Seven) (Devnagari: सते पे सता) is a Hindi film that was released in 1982 partially based on the 1954 musical film "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and featured Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Ranjeeta Kaur, Sachin, Shakti Kapoor, Paintal, Sarika, Kanwaljit Singh, Prema Narayan and Kalpana Iyer amongst others.
