Jerry Farrelly is the host of a controversial television show where people work out their deepest issues in front of the camera, often resulting in on-air fights and reckless chair throwing. The film centers around a multitude of oddball characters; Connie, a trailer trash mother who discovers that her daughter Angel has been sleeping with her husband; Demond, an African-American man caught sleeping with his girlfriend’s two best friends (not to mention Angel); and Jerry himself, who has to take control of the whole mess. Starring Jerry Springer as himself, more or less.

Ringmaster is an American comedy-drama film starring Jerry Springer playing (essentially) himself (only with the last name of Farrelly, however during the movie while he is singing they call out Jerry Springer) on a show similar to his own, in this case called simply Jerry. There are three ongoing plots in the film. The primary one surrounds a white trash, trailer park family in which the daughter is sleeping with her mother's husband, prompting the mother to constantly try to outdo her promiscuous daughter's behavior out of spite, including sleeping with her daughter's boyfriend.
