The squalor of urban Glasgow serves as the setting for a mystery thrill-ride into the world of voyeurism, rage, guilt and passion. Jackie is a surveillance camera operator, overseeing the Red Road. She watches over a small part of the world, protecting the people living under her gaze. One day a man appears on her monitor whom she thought she would never see again. Now she has no choice but to confront him. The tense film is part of Lars von Trier's Advance Party project, the first of three films set in Scotland, using the same nine characters.

Red Road is a 2006 British film directed by Andrea Arnold. It tells the story of a CCTV security operator who observes through her monitors a man from her past. It is named after, and partly set at, the Red Road flats in Barmulloch, Glasgow, Scotland which were the tallest residential buildings in Europe at the time they were built. It is shot largely in a Dogme 95 style, using handheld cameras and natural light.
