Taipei’s rebellious youth, wild and living on the edge.
After dropping out of school, Hsiao-kang wanders among the bright lights of the big city where he encounters Ah-tze, a petty vandal whose beloved motorcycle Hsiao-kang covets and plans to steal. It isn’t long before the boy’s parents find out he’s left school and kick him out of the house. With nowhere else to go, Hsiao-kang starts hanging out with other slackers all too ready for serious trouble.

Rebels of the Neon God (Taiwanese: Ch'ing shaonien ne cha, literally Teenaged Nezha) is a 1992 Taiwanese film by Tsai Ming-liang. It is his first full-length film. It tells two stories of Taipei youth. One details alienated buxiban student Hsiao Kang (Lee Kang-sheng) and his troubled interactions with his family. The other shows two petty hoods, Ah Tze and Ah Bing, along with Ah Kuei, Tze's erstwhile girlfriend.
