In this WW II drama, an American POW is captured by Japanese forces whilst obtaining secret information near the island of Leyte to help General MacArthur prepare an invasion. The Japanese threaten that they will kill one innocent Filipino a day until he talks. Elsewhere on the island, an American paratrooper jumps begins encouraging the Filipino rebels to organize a raid to free the POW.
