Racket

RACKET tells the story of Jesse, a tough 14 year-old girl from the South Bronx with dreams and aspirations of making it as a professional tennis player. Jesse has been spending her entire summer vacation working at a private tennis club in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn in exchange for some tennis lessons, but her manager, Mr. Vladimir, hasn’t been sticking to his end of the deal. One day, after Jesse meets Nikolai Nikoff, the local Bulgarian mobster (Racketeer), with an equal love for tennis, she not only gets her tennis lessons, but also a new-found friendship and a shot at the U.S. Open!

RACKET is an example of what’s possible when two people from completely opposite sides of the world come together.
