"Trules speculates on the closeness of the creative and criminal impulses...Ambitious, provocative...charismatic." -- L.A. Times
Eric Trules is a performance artist/poet. His uncle Harvey Rosenberg is a convicted felon. On the surface they may seem to be polar opposites, but they are much more connected than you might expect. Harvey has spent 30 of his 57 years in organized crime, bouncing in and out of prison. Eric has never felt comfortable in mainstream society and struggles through his art to express a sense of ambiguity, loneliness, and isolation. In their own ways, each is an outsider, coping with their differently created lives, while at the same time searching for some semblance of validation and redemption.
