After losing his wife to Hurricane Mitch, Honduran immigrant Pablo enters the U.S. illegally so that his young daughter Cristina will have a better chance at a brighter future. Things are fine, but then Pablo accidentally kills a little girl with his employer’s truck. Faced with jail and deportation, Pablo grabs Cristina and runs. His only hope lies with an opportunistic journalist who, in exchange for videotaping their story, shepherds Pablo and Cristina from one safe location to another.
