“One of the better British comedies we’ve seen this year.”—Empire
British comedienne Catherine Tate is sensational in this charming, politically charged satire. Tate is Dorothy Ratcliffe, an ordinary 1968 housewife whose radicalized husband (Iain Glen) relocates the family to communist Berlin. Mrs. Ratcliffe struggles to keep her family together, even as her oldest daughter (Brittany Ashworth) begins corrupting the local youth and her youngest (Jessica Barden) begins spying on the family. Circumstances soon force Dorothy to mount her own revolution, right after tea-time.
