The famous TV series is resurrected with style by star/producer Tom Cruise and director Brian de Palma. Cruise plays CIA agent/team leader Ethan Hunt. When an assignment in Prague goes explosively awry, signs point to a mole within the CIA itself. Hunt is the prime suspect, and he goes undercover with a new team to expose the mole and clear his name. Cruise is an assured hero, and de Palma executes the film’s numerous set pieces with panache.
