Whit Stillman's Oscar-nominated classic is set among a group of young upper-class Manhattanites in the midst of their gala debutante season. They soon welcome to their circle Tom (Edward Clements), a middle-class Princeton student. Though very much an outsider, Nick quickly bonds with members of the group, and romance is quickly followed by discord. Stillman begins his long association with actor Chris Eigeman, who gets the best lines as Nick, Tom's guide to this tightly-knit group.
