Two desperate but very different men meet by chance at a Mexico City bar. Danny Wright (Greg Kinnear) is a businessman frantically trying to seal a deal; and Julian Noble (Pierce Brosnan, cheerfully trashing James Bond) is a burned-out assassin at odds with humanity. The perverse but growing bond between them offers both men a chance at redemption, assuming they both survive. Writer/director Richard Shepard's stylish and smart story is boosted by the solid chemistry between Brosnan and Kinnear; Hope Davis is equally strong as Wright's bemused but supportive spouse.
