SQUATTING - ON THE FRINGES OF SAO PAULO is a documentary about Sao Paulo's problem with the homelessness and popular movements for housing. The film shows the work of several popular leaders while they discuss housing issues and the squatting of several empty buildings in downtown Sao Paulo. It is the story of people who, tired of living in extreme poverty and sleeping on the streets, take matters into their own hands, and accomplish their dream of having a home. SQUATTING - ON THE FRINGES OF SAN PAULO is the second of what will be a series of four documentaries about Sao Paulo. The first film was A MARGEM DA IMAGEM, about the homeless in Sao Paulo.
