Mika Kaurismäki's filmmaking debut follows a colorful, fast-talking liar making his way from one scheme to another in Helsinki. The hour-long film offers a wide variety of visual puns and jokes, referencing filmmakers as diverse as Eisenstein and Godard. Brother/fellow filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki co-wrote the screenplay, and offers an energetic, free-for-all performance in the lead role.
