Though professional bowling once stood as the favorite sport of America's working man, it has been eclipsed in recent decades by flashier professional sports. With A League Of Ordinary Gentlemen, filmmaker Christopher Browne seeks to restore some of bowling's glory. After profiling some of the sport's greatest champions, the film examines a new era of professional bowlers and management attempting to bring fame and notoriety to the sport, climaxing with a surprisingly gripping championship match.
