Actress Dorothy (Faye Emerson) gets mired in the work of a gang of thieves, and winds up sentenced to prison for her role in a bank robbery. The desperate Dorothy launches a bold counterplot to secure her freedom, but her scheme might just doom an innocent man. Director Robert Florey (The Cocoanuts, The Twilight Zone) brought expressionistic flair and tight pacing to a slew of B-movies throughout the 1930s and 40s, and this film is an entertaining example of his work from this period. Look for Jackie Gleason in a small role.
