“…one of the unsung treasures of recent independent filmmaking.”—Roger Ebert
Kwik Stop is the tale of a Hollywood-bound actor called Lucky (writer/director Michael Gilio) whose shoplifting is discovered by local girl Didi (Lara Phillips) in a small, Midwestern town. When she forces him to take her along on the road trip, they spiral into a wild ride of crime, love and abandonment. Kwik Stop transcends indie film conventions, marrying its offbeat, three-dimensional characters to a lively, unpredictable and human story.
