Masaru and Shinji are a couple of dead end high school slackers who love to pull pranks and shake down their classmates for lunch money. When Masaru is beaten up by a boxer brought to school by one of his extortion victims, he and Shinji immediately take up boxing. Shinji has a knack for it and moves on to become a prizefighter, but Masaru doesn’t and ends up with a dubious career with the local Yakuza. Years later, they meet by chance to recall the rocky roads each of their lives has become and realize that friendship can transcend even the most bitter disappointments.
