Keep Your Eyes Open

Music video veteran Tamra Davis offers up this engaging look at six “action sports” – skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, motocross, BMX cycling, and surfing. Different star athletes of each sport are profiled, and beautifully captured in action through colorful, intricate cinematography. Davis keeps the action focused and uncluttered, but allows for humorous, fictional interludes in which Beastie Boy Mike D (who co-wrote the soundtrack) and filmmaker Spike Jonze appear as befuddled but fascistic security men.
