The Judge

A judge rules on a fateful verdict to deport a political activist and must endure the fallout of his decision in the eyes of a nation and his son. Jens Christian (Peter Gantzler) is a prestigious judge and newly appointed chairman of the Danish Refugee Board. He rules to deport a poet/ activist who is a potential political refugee. Hearing the verdict, the man sets himself ablaze. Public opinion and ministers, media and colleagues come down hard on Jens in the aftermath. In the midst of his biggest professional crisis, Anders, the son he's never admitted to having, unexpectedly turns up. His personal life is now in a state of chaos and Jens must fight battles both personal and professional to keep from falling apart at the seams.
