Hotshot rookie lawyer Rudy Baylor and his partner Deck (Matt Damon and Danny DeVito) abandon their positions in a hole-in-the-wall law firm to go into practice for themselves. Soon, the case of a lifetime falls into their laps: a young man dying from leukemia has been wrongfully denied his insurance claim. Faced with a less-than-legal opposing counsel (headed by Jon Voight), the duo will do all they can to uphold justice. This faithful adaptation of John Grisham's best selling novel also features Mickey Rourke, Virginia Madsen, and Roy Scheider.
