Conservative U.S. Senator Bob Moreland (Bob Paisley) is stridently opposed to embryonic stem cell research. His position is sorely tested when his son is paralyzed by a debilitating car crash. Moreland’s moral and political opposition to the treatment that can save his son threatens to tear his family apart and ruin his career. Adapted by neurologist Dr. Shelley Chawla from his novel, the film examines both sides of this divisive issue, challenging viewers to take their own stance.
