In Her Defense

A torrid affair ends in murder when a married woman's lover kills her abusive husband. Andrew Garfield (Michael Dudikoff) is a struggling defense attorney who is having a love affair with Jane (Marlee Matlin). When her unsuspecting husband comes home early, and flies into a violent rage, Andrew accidentally kills him in the ensuing brawl. The police think Jane killed her husband and want Andrew to defend her in court. Now Andrew must defend Jane without drawing suspicion upon himself. Ironically, this may just be the high profile case he needs to boost his career into the big time.
