Going to Hell: The Making of "Soul Searcher"

A fascinating documentary about what happens when a film shoot goes from bad to worse and beyond. In 2002, independent filmmakers Neil Oseman and James Clarke set out to produce a special-effects laden action-adventure on a shoestring budget, using a freebie crew, and shooting only between dusk and dawn. Soon enough, Oseman faces depleting morale from his partners, his crew, uncooperative equipment, and increasingly precarious financing. Here's both a testament to the spirit of go-for-broke filmmaking, and a real-life thrill-ride as absorbing as anything you can make up.
