Writer/director Sean Baker crafted his feature, "Four Letter Words", based on transcriptions of recordings he made of the drunken, stoned, late-night conversations of his own friends. A group of high school pals back from college for a weekend of drinking and thinking about the directions of their lives. The few women present at the party quickly tire of the juvenile antics of the guys and depart early, leaving only a dozen or so male stereotypes – the jock, the nerd, the drunk, etc. – to populate the rest of the film.
